Medical Radiography
Compound, closed, slightly displaced fracture of the distal third of the left
tibia and a compound undisplaced fracture of the proximal third of the left
fibula. Such detail, precision and reliability in the diagnosis of a very wide
variety of diseases ranging from simple bone fractures to a much more complex
congenital ventricular septal defect of the heart can be achieved by a thorough
knowledge and experience in the field of Radiography. Radiography uses ionizing
radiation to create photographic images of the different parts of the body.
Bones will appear white, soft tissues will appear in grayscale while air in our
lungs will appear black. The work of a qualified Radiologic Technologist is
exceptionally important in helping the doctors come up with the right and
accurate diagnosis, medication and intervention to treat the disease.
In the nationally accredited Medical Radiography
program, students embark in a rigorous training to internalize all the relevant
information, achieve mastery and a complete understanding of the field, and
learn all the skills and techniques necessary to practice as a highly skilled,
reliable and fully qualified Radiologic Technologist. Their expertise are
greatly needed in fields like trauma radiography in emergency rooms,
fluoroscopic examinations in diagnostic centers and portable radiography at
patients' bedsides in Intensive Care Units.
Are you a Registered Radiologic
Technician/Radiologist with an associate’s degree but still aching to take your
career to the next level? You can do so with the online Bachelor's degree
completion program. In less than a year, you can earn a Bachelor of Science in
Medical Imaging degree.
An advanced study of medical radiography is offered
in the Bachelor of Science in Medical Imaging degree completion program. In this
fully-online program, you will be grasping a broader perspective of the
different imaging modalities. Furthermore, you eyes will be trained to see
abnormalities that other radiologic technicians will certainly miss. Training in
the program goes beyond imaging coursework. This program aims to develop a
well-rounded practitioner through strengthening their understanding of research,
administration and management.
Entrance Requirements
In order to be eligible for enrollment, students
must hold current ARRT certification and have graduated from an accredited
Medical Radiography program at the AOS, AAS, or AS level.

I am so blessed to have a chance to study in
Apollo College. Apollo is a really outstanding college. Unlike all other schools who
spoon-feed their students, Apollo gives their students the chance to learn and discover
new ideas for themselves. Their curriculum is not as rigid as all the other universities
which limit the learning of their students. At Apollo, I get a first hand experience all
the time. Learning in my college is not only based on theoretical information but also
in applied techniques and skills. I learned a lot and now I have a new career in the
Medical filed making good money. |

Studying in Apollo is the best thing I ever did! The teachers showed broad
knowledge of their respective subjects, the college staff are always friendly and very helpful,
everyone is very much willing to work with your skills and help you develop your mental faculties to
aid you succeed after the course. The admissions department is very much involved in the well being
of their students. They are always there to check on your progress and help you when experiencing
bumps along the way. I loved my stay at Apollo. I was even hired by the company where I did my
externship, thanks to Apollo! It’s a lot of hard work in the first few months at Apollo but the
benefits after school are just incomparable. |
